Subaru is jumping on the Tesla charging port bandwagon. THE the automaker announced that it will adopt the North American Charging Standard (NACS) for “certain” electric vehicles from 2025.
NACS loading port adoption accelerated significantly after Tesla opened NACS design last year. Subaru joins a long list of other automakers in adding port support, including Toyota, Ford, General manager, Rivien, Volvo, The North Star, Nissan, Mercedes-Benz, Jaguar Land Rover, Fisker, HyundaiAnd BMW. Charging of electric vehicles continues there is a lot of room for improvement here in the United Statesand it is unclear whether adopting NACS will improve things.
Subaru isn’t the last big name to adopt this standard, either. Were still I’m waiting for Volkswagen and Stellantis to do the same.
