How to Repost Videos on TikTok + How to Disable the Feature

TikTok continues to add new features to its platform, including the ability to share other people’s videos on your own profile – but how do you do it? We’ll take a look.
TikTok has been pretty consistent in adding new features to its service since its introduction a few years ago in 2020. Some features are better received than others, as you would expect when there are more ‘a billion users to try and please.
One of the newest features added to the platform is the ability to repost other people’s videos, similar to Twitter and Facebook. The only difference is that the content does not appear on your profile.

Reposting other people’s content allows you to provide even more content to your followers while simultaneously promoting the creators who produced it.
If you are not sure how this reposting feature works, we have compiled all the necessary information in the following paragraphs.
How to repost videos on TikTok
If you’re not sure how the repost feature works on TikTok, it’s pretty simple. All you have to do is follow these steps:

All your followers will now be able to see the video you reposted on their “For You” with the original creator credited next to it. The video will not appear on your current profile.
Why would you want to repost a video on TikTok?
Reposting is a great way to entertain your followers when you don’t have any content to post at that time.
While this may seem like you’re claiming someone else’s content, the platform makes it very clear who the original creator is, meaning you’re actually helping to promote it.
By reposting videos, you also show your followers the type of videos you are interested in, which works wonders in terms of creating a community of like-minded people.
