How to configure the Stripe terminal


In this blog, we will learn how to configure a Stripe terminal with POS.

To connect the Stripe terminal, the admin needs to register or log in with the Stripe account.

Once logged in, the admin is directed to the home page, where he then needs to proceed with the selection “More > Terminal” in the menu options to configure the Stripe terminal.

After selecting the “Terminal” option, the admin must proceed to add a location by clicking on the icon “+ New” button.

Selection “+ New”the administrator must proceed to establish a new location for the configuration of his POS (point of sale) terminal.

After creating the location, the admin needs to select the newly created location and then click on “+ Save Player”.

After clicking on “+ Save Player”the admin needs to enter the registration code and reader tag to configure the Stripe terminal.

Note: When the administrator starts their terminal, they will receive the registration code during the initial setup process.

Once the reader code and label are entered, the administrator has the option of including multiple terminals.

Configuration in WooCommerce Stripe POS terminal connector

After the terminal is connected, the admin needs to configure the WooCommerce Stripe POS Terminal Connector backend settings to enable the functionality of the terminal.

  • Enable Disable: Here the admin needs to enable the Stripe Terminal POS Gateway.
  • Default Gateway : The admin needs to check this box for the default payment gateway for the POS.
  • Title: Admin can set the payment gateway name.
  • Description: Here admin can describe the items related to the payment gateway.
  • Allow automatic connection: You must check this box to allow automatic connection of the Stripe POS device.
  • Use the simulator: The administrator does not need to check this box.

  • Test mode: Admin can enable or disable test mode.
  • Stripe test publishable key: Here, the admin needs to enter the publishable key.
  • Test the private key: Here the admin needs to enter the private key.

Additionally, the admin has the option to choose a POS terminal and initiate a Stripe payment.
