GroupSense announced that it has made its security intelligence available to Managed Service Providers (MSPs) and Managed Security Service Providers (MSSPs) through a new Tracelight Fuse security threat intelligence offering.
GroupSense provides comprehensive security information about specific organizations that service providers can use to quickly resolve customer issues. The new Tracelight Fuse offering also provides a way for MSPs and MSSPs to serve the mid-market with advanced security services and differentiate themselves in a highly commoditized business.
Since “dwell time” – the time between when a malicious actor initially enters a network and when it is discovered by the victim – is measured in weeks, the first sign of a breach is often when data or network access is made available for sale by threat actors.
To find out what threat actors are doing, GroupSense monitors the dark, deep and open web, and can identify security vulnerabilities and other issues long before organizations themselves detect that they have been compromised. The company delivers this finite intelligence through Tracelight Fuse to MSPs and MSSPs.
With Tracelight Fuse, MSSPs can automate corrective actions. For example, when Tracelight Fuse detects a customer data breach, MSSPs can automatically force a customer organization password reset. This allows for a higher level of threat protection than data feeds, which are commonly used by organizations to obtain security information.
“With Tracelight Fuse, we can identify threats in advance, giving us and our customers the edge against attackers,” said Jason Allen, CTO of Digital Hands, a Florida-based MSSP. “This allows us to accelerate our responses, execute automated corrective actions, and improve the security of every customer we protect.” »
GroupSense provides security intelligence to larger enterprises, but by offering Tracelight Fuse to MSPs and MSSPs, the company can now make these high-end security capabilities available to the mid-market.
“Typical cybersecurity operations are overloaded with streams of threat data. These feeds are broad in scope and may not be relevant to the type of operation protected by the subscriber,” said the CEO of GroupSense. Kurtis Minder. “GroupSense solves this problem by providing MSPs and MSSPs with comprehensive, high-fidelity intelligence so it is always relevant to each customer’s operations and prioritized so service providers resolve the most pressing issues first . »
Tracelight Fuse is now available for MSPs and MSSPs and is offered on a per-client pricing model to eliminate financial risk. The service is provided as a simple application programming interface (API) to Tracelight Fuse and takes just a few minutes to deploy.
