that of Detroit Ford Motor Co. . (NYSE:) released its sales results for October 2023, reporting a 5.3% decline in total U.S. sales. The report follows a strike by the United Auto Workers (UAW) union. For nearly six weeks, the union staged walkouts at various key facilities before reaching a union agreement last week.

The company’s total sales in October were 149,938 vehicles, down from 158,327 units sold during the same period last year.

According to the release, Ford sold a total of 6,831 electric vehicles during the month, an increase of 9.1% compared to the same period last year. To date, the Detroit automaker has sold 53,502 electric vehicles, an increase of 12.6% compared to the same period last year.

Sales of the company’s Mustang Mach-E fell 10.6% year-over-year, while sales of the brand’s popular F-150 Lightning EV pickup increased 52.4%.

F shares are up 1.85% in early trading Thursday.
